Privacy Policy
Hey there, curious soul. Welcome to steverush.com, my little corner of the internet. I'm Rush — artist, thinker, creator — and I believe in respecting your privacy as much as I believe in respecting creative freedom, wildflowers, and weird dreams.
This page exists to let you know how I handle (or more often, don't handle) your personal data when you visit this site. I'm not a corporation. I'm not selling your data. I'm not building a profile of your behavior to optimize ad revenue. I'm just here to share art, words, and maybe one day, conversation.
What (Little) Info I Collect
Right now, steverush.com is mostly a read-only zone — like a gallery you can wander through. But in the near future, I might:
- Let you leave comments (because dialogue is beautiful)
- Offer a newsletter signup (no spam, just occasional artistic missives)
If or when that happens, I might collect:
- Your email address
- Whatever name or pseudonym you offer
- Any words you choose to leave in a comment
That's it. No creepy tracking. No profiling. No hidden surveillance scripts. Not now, not ever.
Your Rights (Because You're Not Just Data)
Under GDPR (and just generally, because you're a human being), you have rights. These include:
- Access to the data I might have about you
- Correction of anything inaccurate
- Deletion of your info if you want out
- Portability (if you want your data moved elsewhere)
- The right to object to how I use your data
- And the right to withdraw consent anytime
If you ever want to exercise those rights, just email me at steve@steverushdotcom
Cookies? Not Really My Thing
I don't currently use cookies, trackers, beacons, pixels, or any of that surveillance web-chaff. If I do ever include cookies in the future, it'll be for something obvious — like remembering that you prefer dark mode. Not for following you around the internet.
If that changes, I'll update this page with a proper (and honest) Cookie Policy. As a matter of fact, see below for more dry cookie data.
Security & Trust
I take reasonable steps to protect any information you share here. That means keeping systems up to date and making sure nothing shady slips into the code. Still, the internet is a wild place. I can't 100% guarantee security, and if you're super privacy-conscious, I recommend using tools like VPNs and anonymous email addresses (solidarity!).
Anti-Capitalist Disclaimer
This site does not and will never sell your data to third parties. I do not, and will not, participate in targeted advertising, affiliate schemes, or any system that turns people into products.
If I ever collaborate with other artists or creators, it'll be transparent and rooted in mutual respect — not monetization.

A Cookie Policy
Last updated: 05 Sept 2025
Let's get something out of the way up front:
I don't use cookies to track you.
Not now. Not secretly. Not in the background. I respect your right to explore the internet without being watched, nudged, or nudged while being watched.
That said, here's what you need to know.
What Are Cookies, Anyway?
Cookies are tiny text files stored on your device by a website. They're often used for things like:
- Remembering who you are when you come back (like staying logged in)
- Tracking your behavior for ads (nope)
- Collecting data for analytics (also nope)
Cookies on steverush.com
Right now, this site uses:
Zero cookies.
No analytics. No trackers. No Facebook pixels. No Google anything. No sneaky scripts.
In the future, if I add features like comments, a newsletter signup, a dark mode toggle, or simple anti-spam protections — then a few essential cookies may be added. These would exist only to help things function properly.
Any cookies that aren't strictly necessary will come with a clear opt-in, because that's how consent works.
Your Choices
If and when cookies are used:
- You'll be notified and asked for your consent (no pre-ticked boxes, no trickery).
- You can delete cookies at any time through your browser settings.
- You can also use browser add-ons like uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger, or DuckDuckGo to block cookies entirely. I support your right to do that.
Third-Party Cookies? Not Welcome Here.
Some websites embed content from third-party services (like YouTube, Instagram, or Google Fonts), which can set their own cookies. I avoid that whenever possible. If I do embed something that might set a cookie, I'll label it clearly and give you the choice to load it.
Got Questions?
Want to know if anything's changed? Or just need to double-check what's happening under the digital hood?
